Blue Movie

bluemovie

Late night.

Alone,

Watching the movie  “Joy” and enjoying it quite a bit.  Jennifer Lawrence is great.

Talent. I wonder if we truly acknowledge talent – you know what I mean, the work that goes on behind the scenes. The hard work and the time it takes to be really good at something. I have a lot of respect for that.

Anyway, it’s late at night and I am alone and I am enjoying watching the movie, which is a lot better than I had expected.

I am enjoying being distracted and I am enjoying the process of expecting the unexpected.

Maybe I am getting old but I don’t recognize the people they call celebrities anymore. Have I become “out of touch?”.

Enough of that, time for this.

Here’s what happens next:

I just stepped outside and found myself suddenly face to face with a skunk.

I spontaneously farted.

Revenge is sweet my friends.

    • You’re right Michael, revenge really wasn’t the motive here. I don’t like the expression, or implications for that matter, of “friendly fire” but yes, it may have been a simple encounter of two cultures trying to communicate without fully understanding each other’s language.
Thanks for the refreshing view. I think the stock value of Fabreeze may have just gone down. Sell! Sell! Peace, Harlon

  1. The chain of events from movie to skunk has a ring of something that really happened. We all get surprises now and then. Like all of a sudden not recognizing “big name” celebrities. You are not alone.

    • Funny, I was just about to edit the post – and cut out all of the beginning and go straight to the punchline, but I suppose the rambling at the beginning sets the context. I am having a vodka and cranberry cocktail at the moment in the garden so I’ll figure that out later. Enjoy!
