The joy that I lost
because I redeemed my voucher for fear
is just a transaction
from an impulse purchase
retail therapy if you will
and I lost my receipt
and I didn’t take a selfie
or buy the t-shirt.
No sense getting stuck in the past
when what’s done is done.
